Psychiatric Evaluations
Your care begins with a thorough conversation about what you are experiencing and what you hope to change. Together, we arrive at a clear understanding of your needs and a plan built around you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Your current concerns, symptoms and goals
- Your medical history and current medications
- Family, social and life history that shapes your health
- A clear discussion of diagnosis, in plain language
- An individualized treatment plan, made with you
- Your first visit lasts 60 to 90 minutes
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Review of medications you take now or have taken before
- Prescribing when it is clinically appropriate
- Regular follow up visits to see how you are feeling
- Monitoring for side effects and adjusting as needed
- Coordination with your primary care provider, with your permission
Some medications have additional rules for prescribing through telehealth. If this applies to you, we will explain your options.
Medication Management
When medication can help, it should be chosen carefully and followed closely. We start with your full picture, explain every option, and stay with you as your needs change.
Individual Psychotherapy
Dedicated time to talk, reflect and build skills. Therapy sessions offer a steady, private space to work through challenges and move toward the life you want.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Sessions of 45 to 60 minutes
- Goals you set together and revisit over time
- Practical tools for stress, emotions and relationships
- Approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, interpersonal psychotherapy, parent management training, structural family therapy and solution-focused group therapy
- Combined therapy and medication management visits of 40 minutes
